To create Lapland, a magical world rich in storytelling is essential to captivate both Small and Big Folk alike. This begins with the Lapland foundation storybooks, written by LaplandUK’s founders, Mike and Alison Battle. The Untold Story of Father Christmas tells how a humble toymaker first travelled through the door in the Enchanted Forest to Lapland, eventually becoming Father Christmas. The second foundation book, The Secrets of the Christmas Elves, reveals the real reason Father Christmas delivers toys to children around the world on Christmas Eve, and how he manages this incredible journey.

The Stocking Book Series: The Tale of Wish

You can also read stories from Lapland’s beloved Elven World in our stocking book series; a series of books the perfect size to be tucked inside a Christmas stocking. The Tale of Wish is the story of Wish, the elf who ensures that every dream wished for by Small Folk comes true on Christmas morning.

The Husky Heroes

Meet Jarvi, Kloppi, Lumi, Humana, Kivi and Arka, the team of Husky Puppies here at Lapland. The huskies pull Father Christmas’s sleigh around Lapland all year-round, so the reindeer can save their energy for their mighty journey on Christmas Eve.
